The platform gives you the opportunity to let your network, recruiters and potential employers know that you are "Open to work" by framing your profile picture.
By framing, you are already signaling that you are in demand and LinkedIn begins to assist you in this task. You'll start receiving notifications of open positions, job offers and see who in your network is searching for new hires. Your profile will now be out in front of your potential employers' eyes. Well, LinkedIn won't entirely search for open positions for you, of course, but it will help significantly.

- Once you've hinted to LinkedIn that you're looking for a new job, the platform will ask you for some basic criteria that you're looking for, so that LinkedIn can refine your search and select its offers.
- Once you have filled in your field of work, location preference and employment type, you should select who sees that you are "Open to Work". LinkedIn gives you two options for action. One is if you want the frame to be fully visible and for everyone in your network and beyond to know about your job readiness.
The other option is to show "Open to work" only to people who use LinkedIn Recruiter. This option allows you to receive potential offers even if you are still in your current position. LinkedIn does its best to maintain your privacy, but it does not guarantee that your profile will not come across to a recruiter from your company.
