LinkedIn adds "Send" and "Save" metrics
LinkedIn is introducing several new analytics to help you measure your performance on the platform. Through "Saves," you'll be able to see data on how many people have saved your post, and "Sends" will show how many times your post has been shared in private messages.
As you can see from the example, with your "Engagements" data, you will see "Saves" and "Sends on LinkedIn" in your "Social engagement" tracking.
"Saves" will show you how many people have bookmarked your LinkedIn post.
"Saves" itself is becoming a very valuable indicator of social media engagement, with more and more people using bookmarks and similar tools to bookmark a post for reference. You'll now be able to track this item in your LinkedIn stats. This will give you more information as to what your audience finds important and more specifically, so important that they have decided to follow.
"Sends", on the other hand, will show how many times your post has been shared in private messages.
As engagement through private messaging has grown, then referrals have become a very valuable indicator of engagement. It would be very interesting to have metrics that show how LinkedIn posts track this type of engagement data.
As I noted, the new data metrics will provide more insights into how your content is performing on LinkedIn, also more ways to track how people are interacting with your content. This would guide your future approach to content, while giving you more data to use when analyzing the performance of your posts on the platform.
In recent months, LinkedIn has added a range of new analytics tools, for example "Profile viewers" "Followers gained from a post" and others.
The platform hopes these elements will help dedicated content creators make the most of their presence on the app and encourage more sharing. At the same time, it also helps brands build their strategies aimed at reaching LinkedIn's 1.2 billion users, or at least those who are active.
If you find the topic of LinkedIn interesting and want to learn more about how to build your personal brand on the platform, we recommend the first book in Bulgaria about LinkedIn marketing - "How to build a personal brand that sells on LinkedIn". You will know it by the purple otter on the cover.
